About the Event

New York Tech Week is loud, fast, and technical. Before you dive in, come find your people to help you navigate this week with social good in mind. AI is reshaping every sector that touches social impact such as and not exclusive: climate, health, education, conservation, and capital.

But the most important conversations aren't happening on stages. They're happening between the people doing the work: the researchers, founders, funders, advocates, and practitioners who are navigating real tradeoffs, in real communities, with real stakes.

This is an open, informal gathering at The Globe Bar to kick off Tech Week with intention. Come ready to talk about how we use AI and tech safely, responsibly, and sustainably and what it means to build technology that actually serves people.

This is a meetup, there are no panels, but rather structured networking where you’ll break into groups of what you are interested in and meet people similar to collaborate and brainstorm with. Who should come: Social impact enthusiasts. Climate tech builders and ocean conservationists. Nonprofit leaders. Impact investors and philanthropists. Global health advocates and humanitarian responders. Community organizers and policy thinkers. Anyone who wants to walk into Tech Week thinking about what technology should actually be for.

This event is a part of #NYCTechWeek—a week of events hosted by VCs and startups to bring together the tech ecosystem. Learn more at www.tech-week.com.
