About This Event

Some of the best thinking happens before noon, over a good cup of coffee, with the right people in the room.

Community Week NYC (May 9-17) is a citywide celebration of belonging that spotlights the organizers, spaces, and communities connecting New Yorkers. Coffee and Conversation about Community is where that conversation gets a cup of coffee: three intimate morning gatherings for community builders, organizers, and the community curious. Each session brings a guest speaker sharing hard-won wisdom and practical tactics, followed by open conversation with the people around you. We'll have coffee and morning snacks. You bring the questions.

Our guest speaker:

  • Stephanie Thoma, Calm Authority

Stephanie Thoma is the Founder & Advisor behind Calm Authority, where she helps thoughtful leaders close identity lag and become the person opportunities come to—through how they communicate, connect, and show up. Stephanie is the curator of Women Creating IRL Community, an annual event celebrating community builders in SF, ATX and now, NYC and has held leadership roles within YPOSF. She is the author of Confident Introvert.

Presented by Sugary NYCweek nights, with generous support from Shelton Mercer III and New York Life. Learn more at communityweek.nyc.
