Frances Coronel builds the AI tooling infrastructure that hundreds of engineers at Slack rely on every day. As a Senior Software Engineer on Slack’s Developer Experience team, she created the company’s internal AI tool catalog, adoption metrics dashboard, and cross-functional enablement program, scaling a personal side project into an organization-wide platform in four months. Before joining DevXP, Frances spent years as a product engineer shipping features used by millions of Slack users, including leading the Notifications 2.0 redesign that drove a 5x increase in user engagement. She has spoken at more than 100 events, including Dreamforce, and was featured in the GitHub ReadME Project through a profile story, contributor guide, and two podcast appearances. Frances is a 2025 Latinos 40 Under 40 honoree, a Peruvian-American advocate for diversity in technology, and a proud sponsor of the woman technologist emoji through The Unicode Consortium. When she's not building developer tools, she is probably scuba diving with reef conservation volunteers or walking her two Corgis.
