Anu is a fintech executive and board member with 15+ years of experience leading growth, product, and operations across payments and financial services. As Chief Operating Officer and Board Member at Expensify, she has guided the company through its transition from hypergrowth to a disciplined, data-driven public enterprise, building stronger go-to-market engines, scaling payments infrastructure, and modernizing sales and demand generation. Following Expensify’s IPO in 2021, Anu led efforts to educate and align the market around the company’s value proposition while reshaping internal growth strategy for a more competitive landscape. She built the foundation for smarter sales execution, introducing revenue operations, implementing a unified CRM, and deploying AI-driven playbooks across marketing, onboarding, and customer success. Her work redefined how Expensify identifies, qualifies, and nurtures leads across paid, organic, and referral channels, improving conversion and customer quality. Earlier, she designed and launched Expensify’s global payments and reimbursement systems, including the Expensify Card and fraud mitigation frameworks— durable, high-growth businesses that scaled the company’s reach to 200+ countries. Before Expensify, Anu led business development at Marqeta, structuring partnerships that accelerated platform adoption, and held leadership roles at Citi and Oracle, where she built solutions at the intersection of technology and finance. Anu holds an MBA from Cornell University and a B.E. (Hons) in Electrical & Electronics from BITS Pilani, India.
