Ron is the CEO and co-founder of Flox and President of the NixOS Foundation, bringing Nix to the world with over 10,000 contributors. Ron started his career as a software engineer before going on to lead the development of large-scale field-operated products. A repeat founder, Ron moved into developer tooling at Meta’s Facebook as head of developer products, building the tools powering Meta’s 20,000-strong developer core. Recognizing the limitations of existing tooling and the power of Nix, Ron co-founded Flox to make Nix more accessible to the wider engineering community.
